Guarani Online Meeting
You have reached the 8th lesson of the Guarani class. By now, you are able to engage in a basic Guarani conversation. Therefore, this session will focus on holding a video call, so you get a chance to converse with your instructor and peers.
Take advantage of this opportunity to consolidate your learning foundation in the Guarani language.
Lesson goal:
* Review grammatical patterns and vocabulary items learned throughout modules 1 through 6.
* Integrate the use of videoconferencing tools as a learning strategy.
Lesson objectives:
* Respond to oral cues in the Guarani language.
* Actively participate in the Guarani conversation by asking questions and responding to the instructor and classmates.
Video Conference Meeting - Lesson 8
- Lesson 8 will consist of reviewing concepts discussed in units 1 through 6.
- The reviewing session will take place over Zoom.
Observations:
* In order to take part of the video call, you will need to download the Zoom app on your phone.
Objectives:
* The following link offers a brief tutorial on how to use Zoom. Feel free to practice so you are prepared for the video call in advance.
* You can also tap on the image to access the tutorial page.
* As an alternative, you can log in from your computer by accessing the Zoom website.
Video call instructions:
* The meeting will take place on April 16th, at 4 pm, Central Time Zone, USA.
* In order to access the call, you will need to insert the following meeting ID: 248-096-7371.
* Get ready for the call by reviewing lessons 1 through 6.
* Prepare questions for your instructor and classmates.
* Show a polite and positive attitude at all times.
Assessment
Participating in the video call could potentially grant you with 5 pts, which will be counted as extra credit.
However, you need to follow the indicators:
1 pt: Download the app onto your phone or log into the Zoom website from a computer.
1 pt: Create a profile.
1 pt: Introduce yourself in Guarani at the beginning of the video call.
1 pt: Ask at least 5 questions over the terms learned this semester.
1 pt: Actively participate in the conversation.
Grading Scale & Weighting:
Your final grade in this course will be calculated by the points you earn after each assignment. Take into account the grade you earn for this course depends on the total number of points throughout the semester. Divide the total number of points earned by the total number of possible points at any given time to determine your grade at that moment. The final grade will be based on the following percentage scale:
